Whole House Update

This project involved a full house update, transforming key spaces to create a more functional, cohesive home while adding character. In the kitchen, we installed tile flooring and reconfigured the layout by switching the range and refrigerator, resulting in improved flow and functionality. New cabinets were installed, along with warm quartz countertops, a textured tile backsplash, and updated lighting that included both functional and decorative fixtures. Adjacent to the kitchen, we added a mud bench area in the back entry. This space features a floating bench, cubbies for storage, and hooks for coats and bags, with a wallpapered back as a focal point. The bench was painted the same cream color as the walls for a seamless design.

The only full bathroom in the home was completely remodeled to include a new vanity cabinet, quartz countertops, tile flooring, and tile shower walls. We also installed new plumbing fixtures, glass bypass shower doors, a mirror, and updated lighting. To maximize storage, we added shelving and a large niche in the shower. During the design process, the clients expressed interest in reconfiguring their closet. With their large ensuite bedroom, I recommended closing in the existing sitting area to expand the closet into that space. This allowed us to add a vanity area, providing an additional getting-ready space to complement their single bathroom.

The result is a home that feels cohesive, functional, and tailored to the clients’ needs while enhancing their everyday living experience.
